One can enter into the Caneo natural area from the Fossalon neighbourhood, following the embankments along the sea, along the coast until one reaches the visitors’ centre. As a quite recent area it consists of a strip of land, covered by a dense cane (caneo). Placed just at the mouth of the Isonzo river, it represents an excellent observation point, both for the Cona island and the northern coast of Istria.
