The “batele” is a tipical wooden boat, tipical of Grado’s Lagoon. It is a small boat with a flat bottom ideal for the movements of the shallow depth of the Gradese sea. It is able to move with one or two rowers or by sail power. This ancient style of boat continues to be used today by the Gradese people, even in its most recent fibreglass version with motor power.
