Venzone, declared a national monument, is one of the most beautiful examples of artistic reconstruction of a medieval city – destroyed by the earthquake of 1976, it was reconstructed just as it was at the time of its greatest splendour, in the middle ages. Its imposing walls were recuperated, and its gates, such as the Porta S. Genesio which was restored, today represents one of the most significant examples of 14^{th century defensive towers, also recovered in the center of the city, such as its Duomo "S. Andrea Apostolo" in Roman-gothic style, also from the 14th century, also its considerable piazza, one of t he most beautiful of the region on which is found various edifices in the Renaissance style. To visit the Capella di San Michele (the Chapel of Saint Michael), where some 40 preserved human remains have been conserved which were brought there in 1647 from the tombs of the Duomo.}
